Tesco signs exclusive deal with POS Media Poland

Signing a contract that emphasises the growing importance of point-of-sale advertising, POS Media Poland is now the exclusive provider of advertising solutions on shopping trolleys in all Tesco’s Polish hypermarkets.

The agreement, which came into effect on September 1st, also sees POS Media introducing a new carrier for Tesco in Poland – the Clip-On, an advertisement on the handle of the shopping cart. POS Media Poland will be the only company authorised by Tesco to market and support campaigns on shopping trolleys in all of Tesco’s existing 61 stores as well as all new hypermarkets the company plan to open.

Using their proven expertise in the market, POS Media Poland will provide campaigns using the standard carrier, an ad at the front of shopping cart, with additional eye-catching solutions that include branding the bottom of the cart.

POS Media will also install 100 Clip-On carriers in each Tesco store, giving advertisers the opportunity to engage with the consumer through a highly visible ad that accompanies them throughout the entire shopping experience. The Clip-On has proved highly successful in markets such as Germany, Hungary and the UK.

In Poland the most active companies for shopping trolley advertising are mainly FMCG producers such as Procter & Gamble, Nestlé, Reckitt Benckiser and Tchibo, as well as service companies including Polkomtel and Visa.

POS Media Poland is a part of POS Media Europe – the largest media group specializing in Point-of-Sale advertising in retail chains across Europe. POS Media is active in 10 European countries* with a potential reach of 300 million consumers. POS Media Poland is the exclusive business partner of the Real retail chain and also conducts campaigns within Alma, E'Leclerc and Kaufland stores.
